Background


Dr. Gan obtained his basic medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2005. He became a Member of the Royal College Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCSEd) in 2007 and obtained his Master of Medicine (Surgery) Singapore in 2008. He was accredited as a Specialist in Hand Surgery in June 2012.

He was appointed as a Consultant in the Department of Hand & Reconstructive Microsurgery at the National University Hospital. He also holds appointments as Visiting Consultant in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in Alexandra Hospital, Jurong Medical Centre and Kandang Kerbau Womens’ and Childrens’ Hospital.

Dr Gan has contributed to multiple publications. These publications include refereed journals and book chapters. Furthermore, he has been active in the teaching faculty as a course instructor for Hand & Wrist Specialist Training.
