Dr. Eileen Tan

Dr. Eileen Tan obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) Degree (1991) and Master of Medicine (MMed) in Internal Medicine (1997) from the National University of Singapore. She was accredited as a dermatologist by Specialist Accreditation Board in 2001. A fellowship in dermatologic surgery, lasers and hair disorders and hair transplantation at the University of British Columbia was conducted in 2002.

Dr. Eileen Tan was the first Singaporean to win the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery Preceptorship Award in 2001. The following year, she was the first Asian to win the North American Hair Research Society Mentorship award. She was also the first doctor in Singapore to be certified as Diplomate by American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery.

Dr. Tan has been invited to speak and present regularly at national and international meetings and has published research papers in both international and local medical journals. She is a familiar face on national television, and often featured on radio and in numerous health-related publications. As part of the public education to create awareness to various hair and scalp problems, Dr. Tan authored and published a book "A Guide to Healthy Scalp and Hair" in 2010.

Dr. Tan’s practice encompasses general and cosmetic dermatology, with a strong emphasis on hair and nail disorders, hair transplantation, laser surgery and body contouring.
