Dr Ganesh Ramalingam is a General Surgeon with a special interest in Trauma, Laparoscopic and Obesity Surgery. He was formerly Consultant at the Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS. He helped develop the Weight Management and Bariatric Surgery Centre in Alexandra Hospital and KTPH since 2001, and is a founding committee member of the Obesity and Metabolic Surgical Society of Singapore.
Dr Ganesh did a year-long fellowship in Trauma at Beilinson Hospital, Rabin Medical Centre, Petach Tiqva, Israel, where he was trained in the management of a wide range of difficult problems in complex trauma and surgical critical care. He is a Member of the National Trauma Committee of Singapore and an instructor for ATLS and DSTC courses. He also has an interest in sports related surgery, having served as Commando Medical Officer during National Service and is currently a member of the Football Association of Singapore Medical Committee.
